Come join Slow Food Asheville on Sunday, October 23rd in Polk County for a Fall Harvest Potluck!

We are celebrating National Food Day and starting a new sub-chapter of Slow Food in Polk County, so we need your help to show what Slow Food is all about.

You are welcome to head out there as early as 2:00 and have a tour of the farm, and then we will be eating and mingling from about 4:00-6:00.  Lee and April Mink will be our hosts at the farm, and may answer any farming questions you have as you tour their farm.

Local meats, beer, wine, and water will be provided and we are asking everyone to bring a side dish to share.

Bring your friends, lawn chairs, a cup, plate, and utensils,  we will also have paper/plastic dinner ware in case you forget.

A group of people will meet at Westgate Earthfare (out in front of the store) and carpool around 1:30 so you are welcome to meet there and save some gas!!

This is a free event, but donations are greatly appreciated.  All donations will help get Polk County on their feet and start their new sub-chapter.

Please RSVP with Nan Kramer at (704) 562.2828 or at
